Cam Wake is a former professional football player who played as a defensive end in the NFL. He was born on January 30, 1982 in Beltsville, Maryland. Wake played college football at Penn State University before transferring to play at CFL's British Columbia Lions.
Wake started his professional career in the Canadian Football League (CFL) where he became one of the league's top pass rushers, winning multiple awards and accolades. He then signed with the Miami Dolphins in 2009, where he played for 10 seasons until 2018.
Throughout his NFL career, Wake was known for his exceptional pass-rushing abilities, earning multiple Pro Bowl selections and being named a First-team All-Pro in 2012. He finished his NFL career with 100.5 sacks and 22 forced fumbles.
In 2019, Wake signed with the Tennessee Titans but his season was cut short due to injury, leading to his retirement from professional football in 2020. He is considered one of the most dominant pass rushers of his era and will be remembered for his impact on the game.
